You may recall from our blog news a few months ago that we completed the Beds n Dreams fit-out at Caringbah HomeCo in late 2022. CMLS Commercial Interiors was delighted to work with this company again to complete a new retail fit-out for the showroom in HomeCo at Cranbourne (Melbourne).
The process of designing, manufacturing, and installing a shop’s internal structure and fittings, from plumbing (where required) and electricals to joinery, lighting fixtures, flooring, and everything in between is known as a commercial fit-out.

The Cranbourne Beds n Dreams Project…
Among the leading commercial fit-out companies in Sydney, the team from CMLS Commercial Interiors was thrilled to cross the border to work on this exciting new project for Beds n Dreams!
This fit-out was undertaken at HomeCo Cranbourne, in a 665m2 retail showroom at Shop 11/ 350-398 Gippsland Highway, Cranbourne VIC 3977.
Work commenced on February 6th, 2023 and we handed over the completed fit-out three weeks later on February 28th, 2023.
Completion of this fit-out incorporated:
Pre-Fit-Out Process:
- Certification process, including the acquisition of Building Permits and Occupation Certificate
- Communications with electricians and set out for their works
- Communications re-signage and lightbox works
- Communications re-building works
Fit-Out:
- Installation of new electricals and data
- Installation of new plasterboard partitioning and doors
- Manufacture and installation of all new Reception area and joinery throughout the store, including display bedheads
- We freshly painted all walls, ceilings, doors, and exposed open service areas
- We laid all new carpet throughout
- New signage and light boxes were installed throughout the store
The result is a fresh, modern aesthetic that is on-brand and user-friendly. Most importantly, it is a safe and functional space for staff, customers, and visitors in line with BCA Standards.
